IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We will be collecting Bulk and Organics on Saturday May 23 and Saturday May 30. All pickups will be scheduled pickups and must be set up by appointment by calling (914) 737-0100 (Monday through Friday) from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Scheduling will begin Monday May 18, 2020.

 

• All other pickups remain the same as the past 2 months.
• Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our Department of Environmental Services (DES) staff will continue to work at a 50% staff level on a modified garbage and recycle collection schedule.  (We anticipate this will remain in effect until 5/31/20.)
  • As we did for prior weeks, we will continue using our bulk routes as our HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE pickup days. Please refer to the ABOVE link to find your bulk route number. 

All sanitation services start at 7 am. 

Bulk route 1 will be picked up on Mondays

Bulk route 2 will be picked up on Tuesdays

Bulk route 3 will be picked up on Wednesdays

Recyclables shall be put out to the curb at 7:00 am Thursday* for all the following:

*Although the recyclables are being put out on Thursdays please allow us a two day time frame to pick up.  They will be picked up by the close of business Friday! 

 As of March 16, 2020 we are restricting public access to all Town DES facilities.

• All Cortlandt residents can bring their E-Waste items to the Village of Buchanan at 218 Westchester Avenue Monday - Friday between 8:00am -3:00pm.
• Freon items will no longer be accepted during E-Waste drop offs.  Payment for a special bulk pick-up can be set up by the Sanitation office.  The cost is $10.00 per item and can be paid by mailed in check.  Sanitation office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
