Wednesday, October 11th at 7PM, The Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Rd., will be hosting a forum not to be missed. Three local community organizations—The Cortlandt Community Coalition, The Croton Community Coalition & Drug Crisis in Our Backyard---are partnering to help you understand the Opioid Crisis as it touches the heart of our local community. The Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino will speak to us about Project Worthy, Westchester County’s new plan to combat the drug epidemic.
In addition, we will hear first hand from a young man, Stephen Hill, who will discuss his progression from underage drinking into the darkness of addiction and his ultimate road to recovery.
Although this is a story that is found all over our country, on October 11th we bring the information “upfront and personal” to our own community. It will take every one of us to fight this epidemic. Please join us to learn new steps that are being taken and how we can all make a difference!
We're always looking for more people to join us and be involved! If you have any questions, come on by and join us for a meeting! Can't make it? Call us and we'll keep you up to date on the happenings over at the CCC!
The best way to help keep your kids safe from drugs and alcohol is to talk to them.
Talk soon, talk early, talk now.
