PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the PLANNING BOARD of the TOWN OF CORTLANDT will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the application of BROOKFIELD RESOURCE MANAGEMENT INC. , for the property of 2114 APR, LLC, for Site Development Plan Approval and for the renewal of a Junkyard Special Permit pursuant to Section 307-61 of the Town of Cortlandt Zoning Ordinance and for a Steep Slope Permit pursuant to Chapter 259 and a Tree Removal Permit pursuant to Chapter 283 of the Town Code for a recycling facility for scrap metal from end-of-life vehicles, as well as tires, all fluids, batteries, mercury switches, and other recyclables that are part of the vehicle and for recycling of other end of life durable goods that are primarily constructed of metal at a facility located at 2105 & 2109 Albany Post Road (Route 9A) as shown on a 6 page set of drawings entitled “Site Plan, Brookfield Resource Management” prepared by Nosek Engineering dated April 22, 2010.
The subject property is split zoned with the front 200 feet zoned HC/9A, Highway Commercial/Multi Family and the remainder of the property zoned M-1, Light Industrial. The subject property of approximately 8.7 acres is located on the east side of New York and Albany Post Road, 300 feet north of Dutch Street and is designated on the Town of Cortlandt Tax Maps as Section 54.08, Block 2, Lots 29 and 30.
Pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 of the State Environmental Quality Review Regulations the subject application is an unlisted action for which Part One of the Full Environmental Assessment Form was submitted.
Persons may review said application at the Planning Office, Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
SAID HEARING will be conducted in the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York on Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010 at 8:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as possible at which time all interested persons will be heard.
