Northern Westchester Joint Water Works-Route 6 16” main Replacement Project Notice.
On or about August 8, 2018 the Northern Westchester Joint Water Works (NWJWW), utilizing the construction service of ELQ Industries, will begin replacing 1600’ of 16” water transmission main along route 6, Cortlandt Manor. The work will take place between Conklin Ave. and Locust Ave. The work is schedule to be completed in early October 2018.
Traffic patterns will be altered so one (1) lane of traffic, both east and west bound will always be open, during work hours. Work hours will be from 9:00am to 4:00pm. After work hours, all lanes will be opened for travel, however, certain phases of the project may require temporary closure during non-work hours. The work hours are being mandated by NYSDOT requirements, and are implemented to minimize the impact to the traveling public. Please seek alternate routes during these times to reduce the potential for traffic.
All Businesses and adjacent roads will remain open. For additional safety and to improve the flow of traffic, flagmen will be on-site when needed.
