Arbor Day Tree Planting: June 2, 2022 at 4:00PM
Who said our Arbor Day celebration had to stop in April? National Arbor Day is always celebrated on the last Friday in April, but many states observe Arbor Day on different dates throughout the year based on best tree planting times. This marks the 150th anniversary of the tree planter’s holiday.
The Town of Cortlandt will observe Arbor Day on Thursday, June 2nd at 4:00pm by planting 3 native serviceberry trees which have a lovely white bloom in the spring and orange-red fall color. This event will take place at the Youth and Recreation Center, 3 Memorial Drive in Croton.
Presented by the Town of Cortlandt Conservation Advisory Committee (CAC) Chaired by Mr. David Douglas, Supervisor Richard Becker and the Town Board, in coordination with Ms. Amanda Bayley, CEO PLAN it WILD.
