I enlisted into the United States Army on August 5th 2005 as an Infantryman. I completed 13 years of service with over 34 months in Iraq and Afghanistan in support of OIF/OEF. My main hobbies include: spending time with my family, gardening, and art. The inspiration for this work came from a portrait of an old veteran. I was drawn to his eyes as it made me feel like a piece of peace was missing. I hope that one day we all find enough love and support to fill in the shapes of the missing pieces.
