The Town of Cortlandt Government is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Sole Appointed Assessor – Fulltime.
The Town Assessor is responsible for determining valuations and assessments of real property, equalization, and preparation of annual assessment roll. The Town contains approximately 15,500 parcels. The successful candidate must possess the New York State Certification as established by the State Board of Equalization and Assessment, 2 to 5 years of experience as an Assessor or Deputy Assessor in a municipal setting, NYS experience preferred. Must possess strong appraisal skills, good public relations skills as well as good organizational and managerial skills.
