Women’s History Month Essay Contest

In commemoration of Women's History Month, Legislator Ulaj is holding an essay contest for high school students in District 9 with a $500 prize for the winner!
Students should answer the question: What does Women’s History Month mean to you? They may consider: What should we do to commemorate; with what lens do we examine the current moment; and what is our role as an individual in the struggle for equal rights.
- Deadline to submit is Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

- Seeking submissions from high school students in District 9 (Briarcliff, Croton, Hendrick Hudson, or Ossining High Schools)
- Winner receives a $500 prize!
With abortion and reproductive rights under attack nationally, I am very eager to hear how young people are feeling at this moment. We’ve made so much progress, yet there is still so much at stake across critical issues impacting the lives of women.
