Now on view at Town Hall the exhibition Cortlandt Artists Choose Artists explores the influence of an artist’s network on their studio practice. Cortlandt photographer, Shannon Kachuba, paired with her father, David Stockbridge, an acrylic painted based in Andover, MA to create two diptychs for the show.

“A diptych is a work of art comprising two panels, intended to be displayed together. Diptychs are often used to create a sense of balance or symmetry within a composition and aim to tell a story or convey a message through the interaction of the two panels. David chose two of his paintings from his personal collection and Shannon used each piece to make a photograph to be displayed as the painting’s pair.” – Shannon Kachuba
