Cortlandt Fiber Arts: Nancy Thun
Currently on view Cortlandt Fiber Arts: A Contemporary Survey, explores contemporary trends in fiber-based works. Working with fiber offers artists a variety of methods for expressing ideas or capturing their subject matter. Nancy Thun’s works, mirrormirror and Heathen Hill, are exquisitely rendered landscapes. Nancy hand dyes raw wool yarn and then meticulously hooks the yarn resulting in these visually arresting scenes.
