10:00 AM Town-wide Yard Sale

Calling all Town of Cortlandt residents! Do you want to participate in our first annual Community Yard Sale? The Town of Cortlandt is hosting a yard sale at the Cortlandt Waterfront Park (77 Riverview Street, Verplanck) on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM- Pre-registration is required.  Registration is open until Monday, April 28th at www.townofcortlandt.com/reconline.

Take this opportunity to clear out your unwanted items and bring home new treasures!

Enjoy a day at our beautiful Waterfront Park with music, food trucks, great views, and great finds.

Participants will be assigned a sale area and are responsible for setup and breakdown of their own tables, chairs, tents.

Raindate: Sunday, May 4th

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

  • You will receive your spot number the week of the event.
  • In case of rain the sale will be moved to the following day, Sunday, May 4th.
  • Vendor set up will take place between 7:30am and 9:30am.
  • You will be permitted to drive your vehicle to your spot to unload. CARS MUST BE UNPACKED AND OFF THE GREAT LAWN/ACCESS ROAD BY 9:30AM.

VENDOR REQUIREMENTS & RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Items to Bring:
    • Vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, tents, displays, and items to sell.
    • We recommend bringing carts or dollies to transport your items.  Cars will be permitted on the access road to unload your items.  Once your items are at your designated space, cars MUST be moved to the parking lot.
  • Power Access:
    • Vendor spaces do not have access to power. Please plan accordingly.
  • Payments & Transactions:
    • We encourage vendors to offer digital payment options such as Venmo.
    • Vendors are also encouraged to bring cash change (ones, fives, tens, and quarters).
    • Note: Vendors are responsible for all transactions with buyers.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & SERVICES

Please note, if any of the below prohibited items are brought, the vendor will be asked to leave, and no refund will be issued.  The Town of Cortlandt reserves the right to prohibit the display or sale of any items deemed inappropriate or illegal.

The following items and services are NOT allowed at the market:

  1. Food & Drink:
    • Any items that can be consumed by people or animals (e.g., bottled beverages, candy, prepackaged items, homemade treats).
    • Note: Licensed food and drink vendors are available for your convenience.
  2. Weapons & Dangerous Items:
    • Firearms, ammunition, or any kind of weapons.
    • Fireworks.
  3. Animals:
    • Animals for sale or trade.
  4. Drugs & Related Products:
    • Paraphernalia related to drugs.
    • CBD products.
  5. Business & Marketing Restrictions:
    • Multi-level marketing (MLM) products.
    • Promotion of any businesses or organizations.
    • Political campaign materials and signage.
  6. Illegal or Restricted Items:
    • Items that are illegal or not normally obtained in the open market.
    • Sale of alcoholic beverages.
    • Obscene or pornographic material.
    • Live animals for sale.
    • Tobacco products.
    • Counterfeit merchandise.
  7. Other Restrictions:
    • Open flames, lit candles, and burning incense are not allowed at any time.
    • Flying drones, kites, RC planes, etc., over the flea market property.

CLEAN-UP INFORMATION

  • A large dumpster will be available for vendors to dispose of unwanted items. All other items should be taken home.

An additional email with final instructions, including your space number, will be sent on Tuesday, April 29th.
