PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

      PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the PLANNING BOARD of the TOWN OF CORTLANDT will conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to Chapter 307 (Zoning) of the Town of Cortlandt Code and for a Tree Removal Permit pursuant to Chapter 283 (Trees), a Steep Slope Permit pursuant to Chapter 259 (Steep Slopes) and a Wetland Permit pursuant to Chapter 179 (Wetlands) on the application of I.U.O.E., for the Property of the Community Aid for Retarded Children, for Site Development Plan Approval for the construction of a 21,875 square foot classroom building and for five outdoor training areas located on a 10.29 acre parcel of property as shown on a  10 page set of drawings entitled “Site Plan prepared for I.U.O.E Local 14-14B”, prepared by Site Design Consultants, latest revision dated June 9, 2008 and a 4 page set of floor plan & building elevation drawings dated March 20, 2008.

            The subject property of 10.29 acres located on the south side of Trinity Avenue, approximately 600 linear feet east of Albany Post Road (Route 9A), is zoned HC/9A Highway Commercial/Multi-Family and is designated on the Town of Cortlandt Tax Maps as Section 55.09, Block 1, Lots 8, 9.

            Pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 of the State Environmental Quality Review Regulations the subject application is an unlisted action for which Part One of the Full Environmental Assessment Form was submitted.

      Persons may review said application and drawings at the Planning Office in the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York, between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except holidays. 

            SAID HEARING will be conducted in the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, New York on Tuesday evening, July 1, 2008 at 8:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as possible at which time all interested persons will be heard.
