Town of Cortlandt is seeking a Civil Engineer with minimum of five (5) years of work experience involving, drafting, design, review and estimating capital construction projects involving sewer, water and drainage infrastructure. Assist in the review of site development plans for private commercial and residential construction applications including storm water pollution prevention plans. Preparation of contract plans and written specifications for capital projects; review shop drawings; inspect as required. Must possess good knowledge of surveying; principle and practices of civil engineering; strong written and organizational skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, ESRI ArcGIS and HydroCAD software suites. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineer required. Possession of NYS Professional Engineer’s License preferred. Consideration will be given to individual possessing an Engineer in Training Certificate and requisite experience.
