December at the YC

Parents with youth in Grades 6th - 12th check out what the YC has to offer this month, including programs while school is closed.

All programs below are for youth entering grades 6th – 12th unless otherwise noted. All programs below are free unless otherwise noted.  YC programs are for Town of Cortlandt Residents only, unless otherwise noted. For a full description of each program below please click here for the summer brochure.
 
Hours of Operation

Youth Entering Grades 6th – 12th (Drop-Off Program)
Monday – Thursday: 3:00 PM- 8:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Youth Entering Grades 1st – 5th (With Parent/Guardian)
Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

*Closed: December 24, December 25, December 3rd, and January 1st
Holiday Hours (Open at 1:00 pm): December 23rd, December 26th, December 27th, December 30th,

 

Reoccurring Weekly Programs

Weight Room Workout: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:00 PM

Canteen (Open Gym) at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor
Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Fridays: 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM
*Closed December 24th, December 25th, December 31st, and January 1st

Open Gym at Hen-Hud High School
Mondays: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
*No program when school is closed

The Game Café at the CUE (Grades 9th – 12th)
Friday & Saturday: 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM
3131 Main Street, Mohegan Lake, in the Cortlandt Town Center, behind the movie theater.
High school students can enjoy Wi-Fi, cable TV, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, playing a game of pool or ping pong with their friends or simple just hang out. Snack and hot beverages are available for purchase for less than $5. Must show school ID to get in and complete a short registration form.

Rock Wall – CLOSED in December for Holiday Display (come check out our display and see if you can find all the hidden objects!)


December 8th-14th

Friday, December 13th: DJ Night from 7:00pm- 10:00 pm – Wear your Ugly Sweaters!

Saturday, December 14th: Broadway All Stars Holiday Production 1:00 PM (For Families)

Saturday, December 14th: Meet Santa (indoor event) 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (For Families)


December 15-21th

Sunday, December 15th: Winter Wonderland (outdoor/indoor event) 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (For Families)
Come explore our North Pole Village, take a picture with Santa, play on bounce houses, make holiday crafts, listen to carolers, sing along to holiday favorites, enjoy free giveaways and so MUCH MORE!

Sunday, December 15th: Broadway All Stars Holiday Performance 2:00 PM

Monday, December 16th: National Put Chocolate on ANYTHING Day at 3:30 pm

Friday, December 20th: Gingersnap Cookie Making at 3:30 pm

Friday, December 20th: 8 Ball Challenge starting at 7:00 pm


December 22nd- 28th

Monday, December 23rd: Milk Shake Monday at 3:00 pm

Thursday, December 26th: Pretzel Making at 4:30 pm

Friday, December 27th: Karaoke Dokey Night at 7:00 pm


December 29th-January 4th

Monday, December 30th: Milk Shake Monday at 3:00 pm

January 2nd: Mini Sport Tournament at 4:00 pm

January 3rd: Minute to Win It at 7:00pm
