A Message from Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi

Hello everyone this is Linda Puglisi, Supervisor of the Town of Cortlandt. Thank you so much for allowing me to come into your homes for a few moments once again. I hope you are all well and continuing to get through this difficult period together with us. Today I’d like to pay tribute to all the Mothers in our community. Sunday is the official Mother’s Day but truly every day we honor our Mothers. Dads, we’ll do a message for you in June. I’ve met so many remarkable Mothers during my journey over the years as Supervisor, so many wonderful Mothers. I’ve seen the pride they have for their children and their unconditional love for them. So many times, when I’m around families or when the children come to visit for a tour of Town Hall and they say to me, “I want you to meet my Mom”, that’s what it’s all about. That love, that joy and that pride. I’m the proud Mother of twins, Ali and Jeff, all grown up now but they remain and always will be my joy in life along with my two grandsons of course. They are very special and very kind people, I love them dearly. My own Mother passed away six years ago and I miss her every day. She had a great influence on me and on my two sisters. She was a teacher and a homemaker and a very loving person. So, as we are still directed to stay home and to remain safe, Moms just look at those smiles on your children’s faces and cherish each day with them. I want you to reflect on the great accomplishments you have had in nurturing great lives for your children. Thank you for being so great, have a wonderful Mother’s Day with your families. I love you all and our Cortlandt community. Please stay safe, thank you so much.
