NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF THE 2020 TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL

(Pursuant to Sections 506 & 526 of the NY State Real Property Tax Law)

Notice is hereby given that the assessor of the Town of Cortlandt, County of Westchester, has completed the 2020 tentative assessment roll. Assessment inventory & valuation data is available for examination & review. This data is the information which will be used to establish the assessment of each parcel that appears on the Tentative Assessment Roll of the Town of Cortlandt, which will be filed on June 1st, 2020.

The roll may be viewed online at www.townofcortlandt.com

The assessor will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll on/at the following dates & times. Please call the assessor’s office for an appointment, prior to these dates. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, all discussions during these appointment times will take place telephonically. The telephone number to call is (914) 734-1040.

• Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am & 4:00pm;
• Saturday, June 6th, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am & 1:00pm;
• Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am & 4:00pm;
• Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 between the hours of 9:00am & 4:00pm & also 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

In conformance with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.22, due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Board of Assessment Review (BAR) will meet on Wednesday June 17th, 2020 via Zoom between the hours of 5:00pm & 9:00pm to hear & examine all complaints in relation to assessments by any person believing themselves to be aggrieved.

Grievance forms (Form RP-524) must be filed on or before Grievance Day for consideration of the board. Forms will not be accepted unless completed & signed.
