Our Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage and the 19th Amendment granting the right to vote to Women, with impactful members of our community. 

We want to give a special thank you to everyone who joined us today including: Councilman Richard Becker, Councilman James Creighton, Councilman Francis Farrell, WC Legislator Colin D. Smith, Town Comptroller Patricia Robcke, Town Assistant Planner Michelle Robbins, DOTS Assistant and Former Councilwoman Rosemary Boyle-Lasher, Jeffrey Puglisi MD, Zoning Board Member Adrian Hunte and Town Intern Amaavi Miriyagalla. 

We also thank our special guests Dare Thompson, former President of the NYS League of Women’s Voters and current board member, and NYS Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul for helping us honor the 19th amendment.

 Other key presenters were: Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, NYS Senator Peter Harckham, WC Executive George Latimer, WC Legislator Catherine Borgia, Village of Buchanan Mayor Theresa Knickerbocker, Councilwoman Debra Carter, Village of Croton Deputy Mayor and Trustee Ann Gallelli, Town Justice Kimberly Ragazzo, Town Justice Maritza Fugaro-Norton, Receiver of Taxes Mary Breining, Town Clerk Laroue Rose Shatzkin, and Allison Tam, Esq..
