As you are probably already aware we are under a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service for a significant winter snow storm to impact our area Wednesday late afternoon into early Thursday morning.  The Town’s DES division has been preparing and have all of our snow equipment and staff ready for this event.  

The latest forecast does call for treacherous travel.  Please do your best to stay off of the roads and be sure to observe all parking ordinances by keeping parked cars off the streets (whenever possible) and to allow for passage of snow plows & emergency vehicles.

Also, keep flashlights and extra batteries ready, charge up your cell phones and laptops, and check in on elderly friends and neighbors.

In the event of a power outage, call 1-800-75-CONED, or text "REG" to "OUTAGE" to make a report. You can also download the ConEd app on your iPhone or Android smartphone to easily report outages and check on estimated restoration times -- you will need to have your account number handy to register with the app, so be sure to have it on hand to get set up. You can also use these services to report downed wires.

The Town’s DES crews will be working hard throughout the storm to keep roads clear. Please drive carefully and stay safe.
