Indian Point Local Community Unity Task Force

The purpose of this meeting is to update the community on the recent closing of the Indian Point Energy Center located in the Village of Buchanan, Town of Cortlandt.

Representatives from the decommissioning company - Holtec International, Entergy Corporation, the NRC and the NY State Public Service Commission have been invited to participate.  Town staff from legal, assessor, comptroller and the engineer departments will also be present.

The public is welcomed to observe the meeting; however, public participation is not available. Questions and comments can be sent to LindaP@townofcortlandt.com. As a reminder, the Local Task Force has been meeting since the closure of the Indian Point Nuclear Plant was announced in January 2017.  Past meetings can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/channels/1239587.
