Did you know the 9/11 Memorial statue, “Reaching through the Shadow”, located at the Croton Landing includes a piece of the twisted steel structure from the World Trade Center?

The 9/11 Committee along with Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi, Village of Buchanan Mayor Theresa Knickerbocker and former Village of Croton-on-Hudson Mayor Leo Wiegman were able to receive it from the Port Authority and a group of them including first responders went down to an airport hangar, draped it in an American Flag, and brought it back to our community to be stored until it became part of the memorial statue project.
