On August 18th, Supervisor Linda Puglisi and Town Councilman James Creighton attended the Washington-Rochambeau Bicycle-Kayak Tour commemoration of the 240th Anniversary of 1781 March of the French and Continental armies from Rhode Island to victory over the British in Yorktown, Virginia, and crossing at Kings Ferry in Verplanck. We thank the Van Cortlandtville Historical Society and National Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route Association for honoring this historical event and acknowledging the Revolutionary War history of our Town.
