Cortlandt Welcomes Two New Fun Businesses

Release Date: December 14, 2021

Cortlandt now features a fun trip to the Dog Haus, especially to taste acclaimed gourmet hot dogs, sausage and burgers

Today, Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi joined Supervisor-Elect Richard Becker and other Town dignitaries in cutting the ribbon for two new, exciting businesses opening in the Cortlandt Town Center: The Dog Haus and Haagen-Dazs of Mohegan Lake.

The Dog Haus concept was borne out of the Los Angeles foodie scene. Dog Haus’ menu items are inspired by a combination of the in-house team as well as the Los Angeles celebrity and food truck chefs.  Dog Haus’ full menu includes gourmet dogs, sausages, burgers, grilled and fried chicken sandwiches – all of which feature premium toppings - as well as a variety of wings and sides.  All Haus creations are elevated with unique, fresh toppings and served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls.

Dogs and burgers are made from 100% certified Angus beef, all proteins are humanely raised, free of hormones, antibiotics, nitrates and nitrites.  Dog Haus also offers plant-based proteins from Beyond Meat® and Impossible™ Foods.

The 2,800 sqft location is adjacent to the new Haagen Dazs, and features 11 flat screen TVs, dartboards, shuffleboard and is family friendly.  The bar has 24 beers on tap, many from regional craft breweries, plus a full bar that also has Dog Haus curated cocktails.

“We’re beyond excited to share our creations with the Cortlandt community,” says GM Steve LaBarbera.  “There’s truly nothing in the area like Dog Haus’ menu and our modern industrial décor.  We have a fun, high-energy atmosphere to go alongside the amped up food.  The town of Cortlandt, the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce and the local community have been extremely supportive.”

“Cortlandt has branded itself as the place ‘where life works’ and certainly these two fun filled establishments fit the Town’s concept for future business growth and job opportunities.  I am very excited to cut the ribbon,” said Supervisor Linda Puglisi.

“On behalf of our Cortlandt residents, the Town Board welcomes the Dog Haus and Haagen Dazs of Mohegan Lake to our community,” commented Supervisor-Elect Richard Becker.  “Everyone looks forward to partaking in your gourmet foods and the fun filled atmosphere.”

Deb Milone President of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce was joined by Board Chairwoman Marianne Oros and others to welcome the two newest members of the HVGCC.

“We are excited to have these two fun establishments join our 500+ members”, said Milone.
