Town of Cortlandt Winter Storm Update

The Department of Environmental Services workers have been out treating roads since first thing this morning. The early morning rain turned over to a sleet and freezing rain around 10:30 am this morning. Temperatures will continue to drop slowly as the day goes on.
Town crews will continue to stay out on the roads and treat when they can. Although we try and treat roads with salt the rain makes it difficult to keep on the roads. We recommend drivers stay off the roads today if at all possible.
As a reminder parking is prohibited along town roads during winter months. If you have an emergency, please call 911. If you experience a loss of power please contact Con Edison at 1-800-75-coned to report your outage.
