This week we are featuring two of the younger artists invited to participate in the inaugural exhibition at Town Hall. I was drawn to Elise Van Dekker’s work, Butterfly, because of its nuanced color and line work. Elise fully explores a narrow range of the color spectrum resulting in lovely yellow ochres, oranges, siennas, and burnt siennas that simulate the transparencies and delicate nature of butterfly wings.
