Continuing the celebration of the local student artists, grades: K-12, from Budding Artists, currently on view at Town Hall through May 4th. Today’s featured artist is 5th grader, Catherine Jamsek.

When an artist puts pen or pencil to paper or a brush to canvas it is their effort that transforms an idea into a physical object. In Mindful Breaths Catherine shares with us vignettes and colors that evoke joy and tranquility. With this work we are offered an image that reflects the places and things Catherine holds as peaceful, which invites the viewer to engage with the concepts of joy and tranquility to reaffirm or expand the viewer’s understanding.
