I have been working very closely with Senator Schumer and his staff, as well as with the staff of Senator Gilibrand, about Holtec’s plans to move up the date of the first discharge of radioactive water into the Hudson River in May. Fortunately, this was instantly a top priority for him and Senator Gilibrand. So much so, that they wrote a letter to The NRC, demanding answers by April 14. Senator Schumer and his staff, did a very comprehensive review, and as the letter demonstrates, it is in-depth, well researched, and asks the questions we need to know.
