Continuing the celebration of the local student artists, grades: K-12, from Budding Artists, currently on view at Town Hall through May 4th. Today’s featured artist is 7th grader, Veda Murugarajapandian.

Spring is a time of renewed attention. With the shifting light and emerging growth we seek the latest changes to our environments. Veda’s work flips this traditional script. The viewer is now the subject of the gaze. In her work attention is magnified in its intensity, while simultaneously slipping towards pattern and abstraction. Perhaps as reminder to soften our gaze, lest we become overwhelmed.
