This week’s featured artist from the exhibition, Towards Abstraction, now on view at Town Hall is Susan Obrant. Susan’s work demonstrates the full range of abstraction this exhibition embraces and the scope a single artist’s career may encompass. We are often taught that an artist’s most recognized body of work is the entirety of that artist’s oeuvre. The truth strays far afield. Each artist spends a lifetime refining their skills and executing works that are an in the moment response to a very specific set of questions the artist poses.
