Iconic Cortlandt: Reaching (Deputy Supervisor James Creighton)
On view until November 3rd the exhibition, Iconic Cortlandt, aims to capture the essence of Cortlandt from the unique perspective of the Town’s employees. Visitors to Town Hall will have the opportunity to gain an insider’s perspective on the people, places, and things that make the Town of Cortlandt a great place to live, play, work, and visit!
Another special quality of this community is the dedication to honoring the sacrifices of its members. James Creighton’s photo of the 9/11 Remembrance Memorial at Croton Landing captures the solemn and the sublime. The photo memorializes a tragic moment in our community’s history while surrounding it with the natural splendor of its settings granting moments of peace in contemplation.
Jim has been volunteering on various Town boards and committees since 1997 and was elected to the Town Council in 2017. He currently serves on the Town Board as Deputy Supervisor. Jim has lived in the Town for 28 years and enjoys volunteering and spending time hiking, swimming, sailing, rowing, and relaxing on and around our beautiful lakes and the majestic Hudson River with his wife, Melissa, and their six children.
