Community SWAP: September 30 at 9AM!

Swing by tomorrow, Saturday September 30th at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center located at 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor for our Community SWAP! Doors open at 9:00AM!

This free event is organized by our Town of Cortlandt Green Team to promote sustainability and is a great way to recycle! Bring items in good condition you would like to give away and go home with the items you want. You do not need to bring anything in order to find new things!

Clean, reusable and portable items can be dropped off today, Friday September 29 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM and during Saturday, September 30 from 9:00AM until 12:00PM at the Community Center. Clothing and shoes will be accepted for donation to Big Brothers/Big Sisters ONLY on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 from 9:00AM until 1:00PM (this Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cortlandt Manor).

 

What to bring to the SWAP:

  • CLEAN, reusable, portable items.
  • Sporting Goods (Baseball gloves, hockey sticks, golf clubs, tennis rackets, roller blades, etc.)
  • Pet Supplies (Toys, crates, bowls, etc.)
  • Arts & Crafts (Beads, string, ribbon, fabric, paint, paint brushes, scrapbooking items, etc.)
  • Digital Items (CD's, DVD's, DVD players, CD Players, radios, etc.) *All items should be in working condition.
  • Housewares (Dishes, cups, china, candle holders, picture frames, lamps, wall clocks, etc.)

  • Toys & Games (Board games, yard games, card games, infant/toddler toys such as mobiles or play pens, jump ropes, figurines, etc.)
  • Books (Children's are always popular!)
  • Halloween Costumes (All ages and sizes!)
  • Holiday Decorations (Lights, tree ornaments, outdoor props, artificial trees, any holiday!)
  • Furniture* - (Wood furniture weighing less than 50 lbs., such as end tables, coffee tables, night stands, chairs, stools etc.) *No Glass
  • NOT ACCEPTED: TV's, Computers or A/C units
