Currently on view Cortlandt Fiber Arts: A Contemporary Survey, explores contemporary trends in fiber-based works. Rhylee Adviento is the sole student artist included in the exhibition and her work offers the viewer a meditation on peace. Depicting a Peace Lily in yarn, Rhylee draws the viewer’s focus to her subject matter away from the ground and its isolation within the image declutters the visual field leaving the audience with a singular concept to contemplate.
