The Department of Environmental Services workers have been preparing for the Tropical Storm Debby. This storm is expected to bring moderate to strong wind gusts so tree damage and power losses may be an issue during this storm. If you experience a loss of power please contact Con Edison at 1-800-75-coned to report your outage.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch, which is in effect until 10:00 PM EDT for Westchester County. A Tornado Watch is an alert issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in a specific area. During a Tornado Watch, it's important to be prepared and stay alert in case conditions worsen. Monitor local news, weather radio, or weather apps for updates. Tornado Watches can escalate to Tornado Warnings, which indicate that a tornado has been spotted or is imminent.

We have secured an additional 660 outside crews to help respond to any service disruptions due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds from Tropical Storm Debby.
