Cortlandt People, Places, Memories Artist of the Week: Kathleen Hegarty
Now in its final weeks at Town Hall, the Cortlandt: People, Places, Memories exhibition celebrates life in the Town of Cortlandt and provides a window into the informal and personal histories of the Town’s residents and businesses. All exhibition objects were kindly lent by Town residents and local business owners. Steeped in history, the Town of Cortlandt provides ample opportunities for its residents to experience moments from the past in the present day. Kathleen Hegarty’s photo series, taken during the 2007 American Revolution Reenactment, captures the beauty of our current landscape as the stage for a dramatic moment in our nation’s history.
“The American Revolution Reenactment was a special event that took place in Cortlandt and I think people would enjoy seeing and being reminded of that day.” – Kathleen Hegarty
Cortlandt: People, Places, Memories is on view from August 5th – November 7th at Town Hall. To inquire about this or other exhibition opportunities, please email: Eren Johnson, art@townofcortlandt.com
