Flora & Fauna Artist of the Week: Kerry Sclafani
Newly opened at Town Hall the exhibition, Flora & Fauna, is a celebration of the natural world and explores the sublime beauty of nature from the microscopic to the panoramic. The Aurora Borealis transforms the night sky into a fantastical expanse. With her photographs, Kerry Sclafani has documented this fleeting and wonderous natural phenomenon and rendered our surroundings as a surreal landscape.
Kerry has dabbled in photography since she was a teenager. As an archivist, she frequently works with historical photographs and they hold a special place in her heart. She lives in Cortlandt Manor with her husband, three kids, and their dog – all of whom are frequent (if sometimes unwilling!) subjects. Flora & Fauna is on view from Nov. 11, 2024 –January 30, 2025 at Town Hall. To inquire about this or other exhibition opportunities, please email: Eren Johnson, art@townofcortlandt.com
