April at the YC for Grades 6th - 12th

All programs below are for Youth in Grades 6th – 12th.  All programs below are free unless otherwise noted. All programs are at the Youth Center unless otherwise noted.

Hours of Operation
Youth in Grades 6th – 12th Drop-off Program
Monday – Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Reoccurring Weekly Programs
Weight Room Workout: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:00 PM

Open Gym at Hendrick-Hudson High School (for Hen-Hud students only)
Mondays 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
No program when school is closed
Must be a registered participant of the YC

Canteen, an open gym program at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Fridays 8:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Open to all Croton, Hendrick Hudson and Lakeland middle and high school students who are town residents. Must register at the Canteen to participate.

The Game Café at the C.U.E. (High School Student Only)
3131 Main Street, Mohegan Lake, in the Cortlandt Town Center, behind the movie theater
*New improvements have been made. High schoolers can enjoy Wi-Fi, cable TV, Xbox, Nintendo switch, playing pool and ping pong or just hanging out. They can also purchase snacks and hot beverages for less than $5!
Must show School ID to get in and complete a short registration form

April 1 – 6
Friday, April 5 at 8 PM: YC’s Got Talent, come showcase your skills to your peers and a panel of judges!

Saturday, April 6 from 5 PM to 10 PM: Triple M: Movie Madness Marathon, featuring Comedies. Fee: $6 Come spend the afternoon at the YC watching an ultimate marathon of your favorite movies in your PJ’S! Join us for an evening of movies, laughter and treats! Dinner and popcorn will be provided. Bring your own blanket to curl up under.

April 7-13

Friday, April 12 at 7 PM: Fruity Friday, grab your friends for an evening of fruity competitions. Prizes will be awarded. 

Friday, April 12 at 7 PM: Mister Softee Visits the YC; price varies, suggested $5.

April 14-20 (Spring Break Week)

Monday – Friday, April 15 – 19: YC Opens Early at 1 PM

Monday – Friday, April 15 – 19, Musical Theater Workshop (Grades 2nd – 8th) from 9 AM – 3 PM: Production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. Fee: $185 with ID; $190 without ID; $228 nonresident. Click here for more information.

Monday, April 15 at 4 PM: Milkshake Monday

Tuesday, April 16 at 4:30 PM: Dazzling Diva Facial Day

Wednesday, April 17 at 4:30 PM: Sure Shot – basketball competition

Thursday, April 18 at 4 PM for Tie-Dye Thursday! Participants should register by Tuesday, April 16 and must bring their own white item to dye (i.e. shirt, socks, pillowcase, etc.)

Friday, April 19 at 7 PM: Mister Softee Visits the YC; price varies, suggested $5.

Friday, April 19 at 8 PM: Game Night

April 21-27

Monday, April 22: YC Opens Early at 1:00 PM

Monday, April 22 at 4 PM: Milkshake Monday

Thursday, April 25, Build A Water Rocket (Grades 4th – 8th) from 6:30 – 8:00 PM: A 5 week class for a parent and child. Participants will learn how to build and launch their own high pressure water rocket with every day materials from start to finish! Fee: $160 with ID; $165 without ID; $198 nonresident. Friday, April 26 from 7 PM- 10 PM: DJ Night

Friday, April 26 at 7 PM: Mister Softee Visits the YC; price varies, suggested $5.

Saturday, April 27 at 1 PM: Performance of “Alice in Wonderland” by our Broadway All Stars.

Saturday, April 27 starting at 2 PM: Jr. Chopped Competition, Ice-Cream Sandwich Edition! Grab a partner and sign up to show off your cooking skills. Judges will be looking at appearance, creativity and flavor as they taste your creation. Judging at 7 PM. Participants will be responsible for bringing all of their ingredients. Pre-registration is a MUST, call 914-736-0498.

April 29 – May 4

Friday, May 3: YC is CLOSED for all 6th – 12th Graders due to the 5th Grade Luau. (Rain date is Friday, May 10. If the rain date is used the YC will be open on the 3rd and closed on the 10th)
