AMERICAN RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE (Ages 11- 14)

The ARC Babysitter’s Training course is designed to provide youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely & responsibly give care for children & infants in a fun and interactive way. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves & others safe, help children behave & learn about basic child care as well as basic first aid. Successful participants earn ARC Certification. Bring water & a snack.

BROADWAY ALL STARS (Grades 2nd-8th)

Love to act or sing? This workshop is for everyone from the beginning student to the seasoned performer. Experience the fun of the theatrical games, audition and having a role in a live production! Taught by a professional actress/director, youth will enjoy nine working classes with a final Spring performance. Space is limited.

Come and join us two nights a week for open gym basketball! Open to Croton, Hendrick Hudson, Lakeland Middle and Panas High School Students or any middle/high school student who is a town resident. Youth must be registered to participant; sign-up forms are available at the program.

CREATIVE COOKING ON ZOOM (Grades K- 5th)

Let’s mix it up and do some live cooking with a screen in between. This program will be a mix of cooking, baking, preparing, recipe reading and more. Your young chef might even prepare something to share with the whole family! We’ll be cooking together (apart) in this digitally-live creative cooking class. This program will provide each child with the essentials needed when they are home without adult supervision. Discussion will cover first aid, telephone and door answering, activity plans, encountering emergencies and more!

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP (Grades 2nd-8th)
Robyn Ferracane, Instructor, Professional Actress & Teacher
Attention: Singers and actors! Immerse yourself in the world of theater! This workshop is for everyone from the student acting for the first time, to the seasoned performer. This program takes youth from the audition process to a final performance everyone will enjoy. Not only will this workshop be a source of fun and excitement but it will also increase the skill level of every youth; whether their goal is to become a professional actor or use the workshop to have fun and develop life skills. The production is done with some costumes, props and minimal sets. All youth will have a role to play, will receive a script adapted to the students and will be taught the music they need to perform their role. The results will be a wonderful final performance for family.

YC CLEAN-UP (Grades 6th-12th)
Join the Glashoffs in this unique program to help clean-up our town! Participants will be given supplies to help them pick-up litter and debris from local sites around the town. Youth will
receive volunteer hours for community service. Parents will be responsible for dropping off and picking-up their child at the designated location.

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SKILLS
Stephen Sciame; Blue Fire Experiences- instructor
This program introduces participants to the basics of wilderness survival techniques and important outdoor skills. Learn how to build survival shelters, gather water, and find edibles in the wilderness. More importantly, find out which of these options should take priority in a survival situation. What tools should you always have access to in an emergency? What other uses can common gear be put to in an emergency situation? The program also shows the basics of fire building and the variety of uses for fire in the wild.
